In 2022, Telltale Games officially announced The Wolf Among Us 2. Since then, though, we haven’t heard anything a lot about this game. Well, that may change as Geoff Keighley has shared the first screenshots from it, and he has stated that the game is in full production.
In 2023, Telltale revealed that The Wolf Among Us 2 will be using Unreal Engine 5. However, the following screenshots seem like what you’d expect from a UE4 title. I don’t see the benefits of UE5 here, and I don’t really know why Telltale decided to switch engines. Perhaps it’s easier to develop the game on Epic’s latest engine?
Anyway, other than these screenshots, we don’t have anything new to share. Since the game is now in production, I also don’t expect it to come out in 2024. We’re most likely looking at a 2025 or a 2026 release.
And that is that. Here is also the game’s description which Telltale shared back in 2022.
“Bigby and Snow are returning to untangle more mysteries in the much-anticipated sequel to one of Telltale’s most beloved games, The Wolf Among Us. Award-winning voice actors Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette are back to breathe life into the main characters (Bigby and Snow). The lead writer, creative/game directors, and composer of the original game are back for another trip into the dark universe of Vertigo’s Fables graphic novels in The Wolf Among Us 2.”
Enjoy the screenshots and stay tuned for more!
