Ninja Theory has shared some new in-game screenshots for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. These screenshots were captured with the game’s Photo Mode. Yes, like its predecessor, this new Hellblade game will have a Photo Mode.
Now as with all games, the Photo Mode shows the in-game assets that the devs have used. However, it may also use higher LODs than those used while gaming. You can also use filters to alter the look of the game. So, these screenshots do not 100% reflect the quality of the final game. Still, they can give us an idea of what the game can look like with its in-game assets.
In the sequel, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and looks absolutely incredible. My guess is that the game will take advantage of both Nanite and Lumen. Ninja Theory hasn’t shared any technical details, but that’s a safe assumption. This is the first triple-A game that will showcase what UE5 is capable of.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be released on May 21st. Sadly, though, Microsoft hasn’t shared its PC system requirements as of yet. However, we do know that Hellblade 2 will hit both Microsoft Store and Steam.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
