Environment Artist “Ghost Design” has shared some screenshots, showcasing a Fallout 4 settlement in Unreal Engine 5. These screenshots can give us an idea of what a next-gen remaster/remake of this Fallout game could look like on Epic’s engine.
In order to create this environment, the artist used photoscanned assets. To be more precise, Ghost Design used assets from Quixel/Megascans and ScansFactory.
The end result is pretty amazing, especially when it comes to its interior areas. After all, Fallout 4’s interiors looked washed out due to the Creation Engine.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I also suggest taking a look at these other fan remake projects. For instance, here are fan remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3. Then we have the Zelda: Ocarina of Time Fan Remake. Let’s also not forget this amazing fan remake of STALKER. And lastly, you can find fan remakes of Death Stranding, ARK: Survival Ascended, Resident Evil’s Spencer Mansion and Skyrim’s Whiterun. All of them are cool, so make sure to watch them.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
