Ubisoft has just released Watch_Dogs 2 on the PC and below you can find some 4K screenshots on Ultra settings. As with most titles, Watch_Dogs 2 looks great in 4K, though performance was not that good in that particular resolution.
Ubisoft has provided PC gamers an option via which they can upscale their game, called Temporal Filtering, that is similar to what PS4Pro does.
The good news here is that, and contrary to PS4Pro’s method, Ubisoft’s implementation is really amazing when it comes to image quality, sharpness and clarity. It also comes with a significant performance boost.
The bad news is that this method breaks ambient occlusion, which is why we did not use this option in our 4K gallery. After all, we wanted to present you some true 4K screenshots.
What’s also obvious is that the game suffers from noticeable aliasing issues when there isn’t any MSAA or TXAA applied to its visuals, even in 4K resolutions and with SMAA enabled.
We’ll talk more about the game’s performance in our upcoming PC Performance Analysis article, so stay tuned for more.
Until then, enjoy the screenshots!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
