Gearbox’s Borderlands is perhaps one of the best cartoon-ish games. Borderlands uses a different technique for its cartoon-ish like visuals than cel-shading, but the final result is pretty close to it in our opinion. Needless to say that we don’t think there is something wrong calling Borderlands a cel-shaded game (as that term is used metaphorically to describe all cartoon-ish games with outlines), but that’s just us. Did you know, however, that the game had – originally – a more realistic look to it? Well, time to witness some of the early screenshots (as well as a target trailer) of it before it got ‘cel-ified.’ Continue reading This is what Borderlands was originally meant to look like; art style inspired by short film ‘Codehunters’→
As we’ve said and before, we are big fans of live actions films and trailers. And remember that live action trailer of Borderlands 2? Well, it seems there is an extended version of it – that was aired a while back – and can be viewed below. What’s sad though is the fact that Gearbox has not released it yet. In other words, this is captured by YouTube’s member ‘BoulderTheBear92.’ Borderlands 2 is currently planned for a September 21st release. Enjoy! Majami Hiroz has recreated Bioshock Infinite’s trailer in 8-Bit. This is an interesting take on Irrational Games, though it does not resemble at all the actual game. To be honest – and given its 8-Bit nature – it looks more like a side-scrolling game than a retro FPS title. Still, it would be cool to see such a game hitting iOS or other devices. Bioshock Infinite is currently planned for a February 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Continue reading Pixelated Bioshock Infinite – Bioshock Infinite’s trailer recreated in 8-Bit→
It’s no secret that we love live action films and trailers. Therefore, it’s only natural to share with you this new, live action commercial trailer for Borderlands 2. It looks gorgeous, and each and every character looks identical to its ‘in-game’ incarnation. Unfortunately, Gearbox has not released this video yet but you can view it thanks to YouTube’s member ‘BiGBANGTH3ORY’ who captured it with his Android. Borderlands 2 is currently planned for a September 21st release. Enjoy! Continue reading Borderlands 2 – Live Action Commercial→
