2K Games has released a new trailer for Borderlands 2, that showcases Gamestop’s pre-order exclusive bonus content. Borderlands 2’s Creature Slaughter Dome tasks players with facing waves of Pandora’s creatures in an arena. Players will gain experience and gear, and they’ll be able to bring their gained loot back into the main game. Now this is a really promising mod for Borderlands. YouTube’s member ‘nolahornets394’ has released an interesting mod for Borderlands, called PokeBL. As the name suggests, players can capture animals with this mod and ‘call’ them while they’re fighting. This package includes custom pokeball grenade mods for 10 different Skag variants, with the “Mutt” seen in the following video being a Corrosive/Fire/Shock hybrid skag. 2K Games has released a new trailer for Firaxis’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be available for PC, PS3 and X360 on October 12th and will feature a unique multiplayer game mode featuring a one-on-one deathmatch against another player for the first time in an XCOM game, as players will be able to pick a squad of soldiers, aliens or even combine a squad of both unit types to create the ultimate mixed squad to command in battle. 2K Games and Gearbox have released a new trailer for Borderlands 2 and we’ve got to admit that Gearbox knows how to create hilarious trailers. After the ‘Wimoweh’ trailer, here comes another one that gives us an insight on the game’s story mode and classes. Good news for XCOM fans as Firaxis will include specific UI features in the PC version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown. According to lead designer, Jake Solomon, PC gamers will be able to zoom in and out on the battlefield, a feature that will be present only on the PC version. Electronic Arts and Take-Two today announced preliminary financial results for their first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2012. According to the reports, Battlefield 3 Premium Service has managed to sell over 1.3M subscriptions, whereas Max Payne 3 has sold over 3M copies. Take-Two has also revealed the release dates of both Bioshock Infinite and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Bioshock Infinite is coming to current generation consoles and PC on February 26th, whereas XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to the same platforms on October 12th. And even though a lot of PC gamers hate Origin, EA’s platform for downloading digital games and services has registered over 21 million users. 2K Games’ third-person shooter has been released alongside Ubisoft’s latest iteration of the Ghost Recon series, and here we are today with a Performance Analysis for it. Spec Ops: The Line follows Future Soldier’s example and is rather friendly to casual gamers and is straying away from its roots. Instead of a tactical game, we got ourselves a third-person action game in which the player can give simple, typical orders to its group. Quite frankly, if you’ve been a fan of the first Spec Ops games, you’ll be disappointed by this one. However, keep an open mind because as a third-person action game, Spec Ops: The Line is actually great, tells a compelling story, and performs amazingly on a variety of PC configurations.
