Halo Wars 2 is being developed by 343 Industries and The Creative Assembly, and is described as an exciting new strategy game packed with fast-paced action, massive battles, and an all-new Halo story. Well, it was bound to happen. Releasing a Halo isometric action game exclusively on Windows 8 was one of the dumbest ideas ever. Especially if you are Microsoft. Well, we all saw that coming, didn’t we? In order to promote Windows 8, Microsoft announced Halo: Spartan Assault. Developed by Vanguard Games in conjunction with 343 Industries, this isn’t the Halo game you’ve been waiting for. No, this isn’t a first person shooter with next-gen visuals. Instead, 343 and Microsoft decided to offer us a top-down shooter. This game is said to be a Windows 8 title, and will be released on both PC and Windows Phone. It’s really fascinating watching Halo 3 PC going back and forth. Will it hit the PC or not? Bungie’s game appeared in Steam’s registry a while back, and a lot of PC gamers got excited. Microsoft was quick to react and stated that they had no plans for a PC port of Halo 3. PC gamers got disappointed. Then, Halo 3 was spotted in AMD’s GPU drivers. Rob Platt (also known in YouTube as Pl511) has informed us about his latest collaboration with Plasma3Music, as these two fellas have decided to remix Halo 4’s main theme. As Rob described, in this remix, Plasma3Music and he tried to keep it faithful to the original version while adding their own touches and styles to the theme. Needless to say that this is a piece of art that you deserves your attention, even if you’re not fans of Halo. Well, it was to be expected. Halo 4 has just been launched on X360 and in attempt to further push its sales, Microsoft has stated that the game will not come to the PC. According to Penny-Arcade, a Microsoft spokesperson told them that Halo 4 will not be ported to the PC platform because the game has been designed for the X360 system. Which sounds similar to Microsoft’s excuse about the – temporarily – absence of Alan Wake from the PC (remember that sofa-thing and how the game was meant to be played?).
