Activision has just announced that Modern Warfare 3’s Collection 3 Map Pack will be coming to PC and PS3 on September 13th. With its third DLC Collection, Modern Warfare 3 drops a combat-heavy care package of Special Ops Chaos mode, 4 new Special Ops missions, and 3 FACE OFF maps for the ultimate trifecta in solo and co-op gameplay. Activision and Treyarch have revealed some new details about Black Ops 2 PC, as well as the game’s minimum system requirements. According to the developers, Black Ops 2 has moved on to the DX11 API (that is backward compatible with DX10) and won’t support both DX9 cards and Windows XP. This is really shocking as Black Ops 2 does not sport next-generation graphics. In fact, it looks mediocre, even for multi-platform titles standards. The developers went ahead and explained their decision to move on to DX11, stating that Microsoft’s new API is leaner than DX9 and requires less CPU time to do the same amount of work. Activision has released a trailer for the fourth – and final – DLC Map Pack of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This Map Pack will feature five new maps, such as Gulch, Boardwalk, Off shore, Decommission and Parish. This DLC will hit X360 on September 6th and will come at a later date to PS3 and PC. Blizzard has revealed the changelog for Diablo III’s latest update that will go live tomorrow. Naturally, players won’t be prompted to download patch 1.0.4 until the patch is live in their home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.4 is live until those regions have also patched. Activision has released the launch trailer of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The PC version is being ported by developer Mercenary Games and will feature enhanced textures, lighting, and shadows and will have proper PC controls. Nvidia has released a new video in which they showcase the PC version of Borderlands 2. According to the company, Borderlands 2 supports PhysX and in this video, you will notice that the game includes an incredible number of particle debris that practically blow up in your face. Creatures, such as the Crystalisk, spew liquids that are live fluid particles and are interactive with the force of explosions. Moreover, many weapons include particle fluids, sparks and debris that add extra explosive action to your gaming experience. Borderlands 2 is available September 18th. Truth be told, we decided to give Nvidia enough time to release a proper SLI profile for Radical Entertainment’s game, but the green team has let us down. Activision has released some new screenshots for Treyarch’s upcoming Call of Duty title, Black Ops 2.
