Call of Duty: Online Announced – Debut Trailer Released

Activision Blizzard and Tencent Holdings Limited today announced a strategic relationship to bring Call of Duty Online to Chinese game players. Call of Duty Online has been in development by Activision for approximately two years. Under the multi-year agreement with Activision Publishing, Tencent has the exclusive license to operate Call of Duty Online in mainland China. Nuketown, the most popular multiplayer map in Call of Duty: Black Ops, is being reimagined for the hotly anticipated release of Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, published by Activision. The Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map will be available with launch units of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The Amazing Spider-Man PC gets a release date, will support Steam Achievements

Activision and Beenox revealed today the release date for the PC version of The Amazing Spider-Man. Although the console versions are coming out in just a few days, PC gamers will have to wait until the end of Summer, as the PC version is slated for an August 10th release on Steam. StarCraft II World Championship Series Comes In UK This Weekend

Blizzard announced that on 30th June and 1st July 2012, 16 of the best StarCraft II players in the United Kingdom will compete in the World Championship Series UK Nationals in London. Part of a global campaign to find the best StarCraft II player in the world, the United Kingdom Nationals will see Britain’s best fight it out to be crowned the UK champion and earn the right to represent their country at the StarCraft II World Championship Series Europe Finals. Blizzard finally admits that the lack of LAN in StarCraft II was due to piracy

The lack of a LAN feature in StarCraft 2 is something that has annoyed a lot of the game’s fans. And even though Blizzard was previously hiding behind words and excuses, StarCraft 2’s production director Chris Sigaty admitted that the company removed that feature – mainly – due to piracy. Something that doesn’t shock us at all, as pretty much everyone thought so in the first place. It’s nice though to finally see Blizzard admitting the real reasons behind the lack of it. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Collection #2 DLC comes to PC pretty soon [UPDATE]

Modern Warfare 3’s Collection #2 DLC has been out for quite some time on X360 and although Activision has not revealed when this pack will hit our beloved platform, Steam’s registry unveiled that it will be coming really soon. As always, Steam’s registry rarely lies and it was updated yesterday with the inclusion of this second Collection DLC Map Pack. In other words, it should be coming in the next couple of weeks. Unless of course Activision encounters the same problems that Flying Wild Hog faced with the free expansion of Hard Reset. COD: Black Ops 2 PC – Adjustable FOV and Lean in MP confirmed, Significant Performance Improvements

Here is some great news for all Call of Duty fans. According to Treyarch’s lead PC developer, Cesar Stastny, Black Ops 2 will feature adjustable FOV and lean in Multiplayer. As you may have guessed, these are some major features and will be exclusive to the PC version. And although we bet that a lot of you want adjustable FOV and in the SP mode of Black Ops 2, that might not happen. Diablo III – Full Patch 1.0.3 Release Notes

Blizzard has revealed the full release notes for Diablo III’s highly Update 1.0.3. Be warned that the changelist is huge, so take a deep breath before hitting the ‘continue reading’ button. The update will be made available today in America and tomorrow in Europe. As always, the servers will be taken offline before the update goes live and European players will be unable to log into the Americas or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.3 is live until those regions have also patched. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PC – Dedicated servers, mouse sensitivity tweaked, Steam bonus confirmed

Call of Duty fans, we have some good news for you today. According to Treyarch, Black Ops 2 will support dedicated servers. The company has not provided any more info than that, so we don’t know whether they will follow Infinity Ward’s and Sledgehammer’s example of disabling dedicated servers on ranked matches. Here is hoping that Treyarch will not pull something like that in Black Ops 2, as they were quite friendly with PC gamers in the first Black Ops (don’t forget that we got both dedicated servers and mod tools).
