Today, we are happy to present you a GDC 2013 trailer of Hawken, showcasing – almost – the same level of destruction via the same technique. And in all truthfulness, this looks bad-ass. Nvidia has released a new video, showcasing the PhysX effects that are present in the F2P action mech title, Hawken. This video also demonstrates a soon-to-come PhysX feature in Hawken: APEX Turbulence. APEX Turbulence is a PhysX feature which uses velocity fields to simulate particle motion. Question now is whether Hawken takes advantage of PhysX 3.0 or not, and whether those PhysX effects will bring the game to its knees. Free-to-play fans, we got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news is that Hawken, Adhesive Games’ F2P mech game, is scheduled to enter open beta next week, on December 12th. The bad news is that Path of Exile, one of our most anticipated action hack-n-slash RPGs, is delayed to January 2013 as Grinding Gear believes that a Christmas release is really dangerous and could possibly damage the game and its fanbase. Meteor Entertainment announced the launch date for the second closed beta phase of free-to-play mech title, Hawken. This new web-series is being created by Warner Premiere (a division of Warner Brothers), produced by Copper Media (a division of Silver Pictures), DJ2 Entertainment, and Meteor Entertainment. Warner Premiere today announced it has secured the rights to develop a web series for the highly anticipated futuristic mech shooter game “Hawken.” The game, available December 12, 2012, is set in a post-apocalyptic, over industrialized planet where humans are battling for dwindling resources. Initial plans for the web series will take fans through crucial events that spawn this grim fight for survival. Copper Media, a new division of Silver Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and DJ2 Entertainment are attached to produce. Further details about the production will be announced in the coming months.
