Gearbox has revealed Aliens: Colonial Marines’ bonus content for those who pre-purchase the game from Gamestop. Players we decided to do so will receive the Exclusive Competitive Multiplayer Pack, with which they’ll be able to fight for their squad’s survival and confront hordes of enemies as the original ALIENS film icons Private Hudson, Corporal Hicks, Private Drake and Sergeant Apone. SEGA has released two new PAX Prime 2012 screenshots for Gearbox’s upcoming aliens game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. In addition, Randy Pitchford told Kotaku that the game will feature female characters. After the online controversy about this subject – and an online petition – Randy confirmed that the multiplayer mode will feature a whole range of both male and female characters, all of which can be customized. SEGA Europe and Gearbox Software today announced Escape mode, a new competitive multiplayer mode, for its highly anticipated blockbuster Aliens: Colonial Marines video game, launching February 12, 2013 worldwide. With a competitive death match game mode already revealed earlier in the year, Escape mode is the second in a number of competitive multiplayer modes for Aliens: Colonial Marines and will challenge players in an intense scenario against the universe’s deadliest killers, the Xenomorph. Gearbox has unveiled the third episode of its behind-the-scenes videos for Aliens: Colonial Marines, in which the company’s members talk about the story and tension that will be present in this new Aliens game. Machinima and Gearbox have revealed the first Behind the Scenes trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. And here comes another delay for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Although the game was slated for an Autumn 2012 release, Gearbox has just revealed that the game will actually hit stores in February 2013. According to Gearbox’s head, Randy Pitchford, this is the definitive launch date for Aliens: Colonial Marines. In order to celebrate it, SEGA has also released a new trailer that can be viewev below. It seems that an NDA was lifted today as we got a lot of new gameplay footage for Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial Marines from various sources. Gamestar have uploaded an interesting SP video from the campaign mode of the game, whereas Gametrailers have uploaded 5 minutes from its MP mode. CvG on the other hand posted an interview with Brian Martell. Aliens: Colonial Marines looks better than before, but we really wonder whether it will be as good as the first game from Rebellion or not. Enjoy the new videos below! Bad news: Aliens: Colonial Marines was supposed to be released this Spring and is now delayed to Fall 2012. Good news: SEGA has released a new drooling cinematic teaser trailer for it. The game is developed by Gearbox and I’ll be honest with you; the gameplay footage that was shown last year was underwhelming and generic as hell. I don’t expect Gearbox to fix it (or get rid of the regenerated health or the scripted AI moments or the turret sections, but here is hoping). So, for now, enjoy this new trailer – courtesy of IGN!
