Global chip shortage to last till 2022, NVIDIA and AMD GPU stock affected as a result

As expected there is more unsettling news for gamers who were hoping that the GPU shortage situation would rather improve later this year. Because according to several industry analysts, GPU stock is going to suffer through until 2022, and because the demand for chips now exceeds supply by about 30%, it will take almost three or four quarters for the supply to catch up with the demand. AMD to officially announce RDNA2-based Radeon RX 6700 XT Big Navi GPU on March 3rd [UPDATE]

AMD has just announced on Twitter that the company is going to reveal a new Radeon RX 6000 graphics card during Episode 3 of its “Where Gaming Begins” event on March 3 on 11 AM US eastern time. Although the chipmaker didn’t specify the exact GPU model, it’s likely going to be the Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card. Samsung reportedly planning to release an “Exynos SoC” with Radeon GPU for Windows PCs/Laptops

According to a recent report posted on ZDNet Korea, coming via Engadget, it appears that Samsung is reportedly working on a new Windows laptop based on its own Exynos system-on-chip that will feature a built-in AMD RDNA-based GPU. Rumor: AMD’s DLSS challenger, FidelityFX Super Resolution, might launch by the end of March 2021

It appears that AMD is expected to launch its answer to NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling technology, dubbed as FidelityFX Super Resolution, sometime in spring this year. According to a recent potential entry spotted in the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) database, AMD’s AIB ASRock is planning to launch a new SKU, notably the Radeon RX 6600 XT with 12GB memory.
