AMD and Unity have showcased a fully open source high performance GPU-accelerated ray tracing engine for low level engine developers and supporting OpenCL, Vulkan and C++ backends, called AMD Radeon Rays. AMD confirms CTS Labs security exploits, will fix them through BIOS updates in the coming weeks

On March 13th, CTS Labs published some security exploits that it discovered on AMD’s CPUs. CTS Labs got in touch with the red team on March 12th and gave it only 24 hours before going public. Obviously that was kind of fishy and a lot of people were curious whether these exploits were legit or not. And today, AMD released a statement, acknowledging and confirming those exploits, and claiming that it will fix them through BIOS updates. Third-party GPU manufacturers have removed the ‘gaming’ brand label from their AMD graphics cards

Earlier this month, HardOCP published a really interesting story about NVIDIA’s GPP program. According to HardOCP’s sources, this program prohibited – among other things – third-party GPU manufacturers to use their gaming brand label on both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. And even though some claimed that this was merely a rumour, today we’ve discovered some third-party manufacturers – that create GPUs for both companies – who have already removed their gaming brand label from their AMD graphics cards. AMD Radeon Adrenalin 18.3.2 driver is now available, improves performance in Final Fantasy XV

AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, this driver improves performance in Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition, and fixes some minor stutter that could be experienced during some particle effects. Spanish website ElChapuzasInformatico has leaked the official slides for AMD’s 2nd generation Ryzen CPUs, revealing the specs, prices and first gaming benchmarks. As we can see below, AMD will be offering six new CPUs which are: Ryzen 3 2200G, Ryzen 5 2400G, Ryzen 5 2600, Ryzen 5 2600X, Ryzen 7 2700 and Ryzen 7 2700X. AMD discrete GPU market share increases to its highest point in the past three years

A few days ago, we reported – based on Jon Peddie Research’s quarterly discrete video card sales report for Q4 2017 – that PC gaming remains the primary driver for GPU sales. However, it appears that we missed an interesting detail about AMD’s market share. According to the report, AMD has managed to increase its market share to its highest point in the past three years.
