It’s Sunday today, meaning that we can take a back seat and relax. Therefore, we are bringing you today two videos from Ubisoft’s latest titles. As always, we love video-game theme covers and YouTube’s member ‘MCdahaka’ piano cover of Assassin’s Creed 3’s main theme sounds incredible. In addition, you can watch below a video that showcases the graphics of Far Cry 3, from YouTube’s member ‘xKyleN’. Stay tuned also for Far Cry 3, as we’ll have tomorrow a comparison between the SweetFX and its vanilla version. Ah, the beauty of SweetFX; a tool that can literally transform a game into a piece of art. A tool that can make a game look exactly the way you want to. A tool that is a must-have for every PC gamer. Therefore, we’ll be posting a comparison – after the Performance Analysis of each and every title – between its vanilla and its modded version. Since everyone has a different opinion on what looks best, we’ll also be featuring your configs (alongside some comparison shots that you’ll have to send us, as well as what was your take on using those parameters). Remember, this is not a competition, as everyone has different tastes. These posts will simply offer you some SweetFX settings that might make your games look prettier. Remember when Ubisoft stated that it was putting a lot of effort on the PC port of Assassin’s Creed III? Remember when it stated that PC gamers would be happy – and proud – about the PC version of it? Remember when the company said that the delay of the PC version was in order to ensure that it would be optimized for the PC platform? Well, as usual, none of them were true. Assassin’s Creed III PC is an awful console port, with a DX11 renderer that is seriously bugged and does not perform as good as the older DX9 one that was used in all previous versions of Assassin’s Creed. Not only that, but the game does not take advantage of multi-core CPUs, meaning that each and everyone will be CPU limited in the blink of an eye. Good news for all Assassin’s Creed fans, as Ubisoft has released a Thanksgiving patch for Assassin’s Creed 3. This patch fixes one hell of SP issues, improves the multiplayer mode, fixes rare crashes and bugs. Console owners will be prompted to download it the moment they connect their consoles to the Internet. PC gamers should be prompted too. If not, this patch has already been applied to the release version of the game, so there is nothing you can really do about its abysmal performance. Again, this is as spoiler-y as it can possibly can, so go ahead and enjoy it. You know you want it. Some countries are blocked so use a proxy server if you get a message about Ubisoft and/or IDOL blocking the video! Continue reading Spoiler Alert – Assassin’s Creed 3’s Intro & First Minutes→
