A new counter has appeared at Baldur’s Gate website, suggesting that we might find out – in a couple of hours – the release date and the price of Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition. After all, there are two questions above the counter that ask about the game’s price and from where someone can get it. There are still 40 hours left, so we’ll have to wait almost one day and half to find out what Overhaul Games have in store for us. Trent Oster has revealed some new interesting information about the Enhanced Edition of both Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2. According to Oster, there are currently 8 ex-BioWare developers working on it and the game’s UI is being reworked. Oster also admitted that they are pretty anxious to keep both of the Enhanced Editions going after release and that new content is a big part of those plans. In other words, we can expect some post-launch DLCs for it. It has not been decided yet whether these will be for free or not. Beamdog’s Trent Oster has revealed some interesting new details about the enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate and their future projects. The team has announced that the game will be coming to iPad – suggesting that those earlier rumors for an iPad version were actually true – and will be compatible with all of its models. Yeap, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will be compatible with iPad 1, 2, and 3. Moreover, the team is targetting for a $10 USD price, although nothing is certain right now. As we told you a couple of hours ago, Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 will get an Enhanced Edition that will be released this Summer. Naturally, PC fans of those two games had a lot of questions and Trent Oster decided to answer most of them. So, we know for a fact now that this will come to the PC. Contrary to the previous iOS/Android rumors, there is currently only the PC version confirmed that will be unleashed this Summer. Moreover, the Enhanced Editions will be 2D games and not 3D remakes. Beamdog will use our GPUs mainly for acceleration purposes, but hope that they’ll implement some good tricks to slightly improve the graphics. A new Baldur’s Gate website went live a couple of weeks ago, suggesting that a new Baldur’s Gate game would be coming. Although there is nothing certain at this point, the website’s source code was updated a couple of days ago with some new quotes. Questions abound and no answers can be found as of yet. Rejoice RPG fans as we have evidence that BioWare’s classic RPG, Baldur’s Gate, will be coming to Steam in the following months. A few days ago, both Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2 were added to Steam’s registry. And… well… Steam’s registry never lies. After all, the PC versions of both Sonic Generations and Alan Wake were revealed via Steam’s registry so we can safely assume that this is not an error or mistake from Valve, and our guess is that there will be a bundle or something like that.
