Now this is really shocking. It appears that id Software has trouble porting Doom 3: BFG with 60fps on Sony’s platform and that was revealed by guru John Carmack himself. When a fan asked whether id Software would include some new graphical effects to the PS3 version (like DoF), Carmack said that getting Doom 3 BFG to 60fps on the PS3 is more challenging than most of us would think. Carmack blaimed stencil shadows for it as they are ‘raster pigs’. And obviously, Doom 3 BFG will not include any new graphical features. PS3 gamers, there is no reason to worry though as we bet that Carmack will find a way to overcome those issues. Arkane Studios and Bethesda have released – via their official FB page – two new wallpapers for their amazing FPS title, Dishonored. Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows and offers various ways in which you can complete your missions. Bethesda and Machinima have released a walkthrough from the E3 2012 demo of Skyrim’s upcoming expansion pack, Dawnguard. Skyrim Dawnguard is currently slated for a June 26th release on X360 and will feature both Dawnguards and Vampires. Bethesda has released a new set of E3 screenshots for Dishonored. Dishonored looks like the sleeper hit of 2012 and could very well be our GOTY. Players will be able to transform into rats and they will be able to finish the game without killing anyone. Dishonored looks like a modern Deus Ex game so keep an eye on it. Get hyped everyone. Bethesda has released the highly anticipated gameplay E3 trailer of Dishonored and you will definitely get some goosebumps while watching it. Its artistically great, it features gameplay segments – with some of them resembling Irrational Games’ BioShock – and it looks absolutely amazing. This could very well be one of the best E3 2012 trailers, even though the show hasn’t even started yet. So go ahead and watch it because this game will definitely be among the best ones of 2012. Bethesda has released the official trailer for Dawnguard, the first game add-on for Skyrim. Dawnguard will be available for download for 1600 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE this Summer. Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that DOOM 3 BFG Edition will be available this Autumn and features DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, both of which have been completely re-mastered. The package also includes hours of new content – seven new levels entitled ‘The Lost Mission’. DOOM 3 BFG Edition is slated for release for X360, PC and PS3 – making it the first time any DOOM game has ever appeared on the PlayStation 3.
