Modder ‘Osmodius’ released a must-have mod for Skyrim. As its title suggests, Project Parallax adds parallax mapping to most of the game’s textures. Since DX11 and tessellation are not supported, Parallax Mapping is the best way to offer a better terrain and this mod accomplishes just that. Only Whiterun is enhanced at the moment but the modder promised to release new versions of his mod that will enhance all the other cities. Boris Vorontsov has been hard at work lately with the 0.110 version of his ENBSeries mod for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. In this new version, Boris will introduce some new shadow techniques that look amazing. Great news for all Bethesda – and Dishonored – fans as the company has just revealed that the PC version of Dishonored will use Valve’s DRM, Steamworks. Not only that, but Bethesda has also unveiled that they are working on an epic new game and that The Elder Scrolls Online has not affected their support on both their older games and their upcoming, epic un-announced game. Bethesda Softworks today announced that Dishonored, the supernatural assassin action game under development at Arkane Studios, will be available in North America on October 9, in Australia on October 11 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012. Developed under the direction of co-creative directors Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith, Dishonored is slated for release on X360, PS3 and PC. Wolfenstein 3D got 20 years old this Saturday and in order to celebrate it, Bethesda and iD Software have released a free-to-play browser version of our beloved FPS classic game. We’ve said a lot of times that mods can literally change the look of a game. And you do know that there are a lot of mods for Skyrim, right? Well, nothing have prepared you for the following video that showcases some pretty amazing visuals. YouTube’s member ‘MrRhexx’ used the realistic setting from cinemascope combined with the cinematic settings from cinematic ENB mod – that work wonderfully together – and captured some footage of Skyrim. The end result is unbelievable and could very well be mistaked as a CGI footage. MrRhexx also used the Daedric Reaver Armor and the footage is from a scene taken from Chronicles of a Sad Story 3. Back in January, we informed you about the conflict between two talented modding teams. Skyrim Online was an interesting concept and as we predicted, there was a room for an Online version of The Elder Scrolls. Naturally, Bethesda has stepped in and announced – via GameInformed – The Elder Scrolls Online. Yeap, we saw that coming a mile away. The Elder Scrolls Online will be a prequel to Skyrim as players will discover an entirely new chapter of Elder Scrolls history in this ambitious world, set a millennium before the events of Skyrim as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm.
