Skyrim Unofficial Patch 1.0 Released; lots of bugs/issues/quests fixed by the community

Remember back in March when we informed you about an unofficial patch for Skyrim? Well, it seems that the team responsible for it had released its beta form back then. The patch saw two additional beta releases (1.02 and 1.03) and a couple of days ago, the team decided to release its RC version. In case you are unaware of, this is a patch made by dedicated community members and modders to fix Skyrim into what it should’ve been in the first place. It already fixes THOUSANDS of bugs (an understatement) and if you install this, most of the major quest bugs and gameplay problems of Skyrim will be gone. In other words, this is an essential mod for all Skyrim players. Continue reading Skyrim Unofficial Patch 1.0 Released; lots of bugs/issues/quests fixed by the community

Gorgeous HD Panoramic Skyrim Screenshots; captured in 8K Resolution

Reddit’s user ‘DarkerForce’ shared some amazing panoramic screenshots for Skyrim. These panoramic shots were captured in a 8K resolution, were stitched together with Kolor Autopano Giga and were slightly adjusted with PS CS5. For obvious reasons, we resized them to a more appropriate resolution. These shots will also give you an idea of how Skyrim looks when played on PC with three monitors. Awesome stuff and be sure to check them out. Enjoy! Continue reading Gorgeous HD Panoramic Skyrim Screenshots; captured in 8K Resolution

Lovely Skyrim theme cover by Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollens

Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollens made a lovely cover for Skyrim’s theme, in which Lindsey played the violin while Peter made all the vocals for it. Yeap, that’s right. This is a cover with one violin and one voice. The result is great and it certainly deserves your attention. Bill Hare mixed the clip, whereas Ben Lieberman edited it. Those interested can also download this theme from here. Enjoy! Continue reading Lovely Skyrim theme cover by Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollens

Vivid days and darker nights come to Skyrim with a new ENB config and an FXAA injector Mod

Modder Bronze316 released a modified ENBSeries mod for Skyrim that is accompanied by an FXAA Injector to give a sharper look to it. According to the modder, this mod features vibrant “True Colors” and balanced lightning for all scenarios in-game. As a result of that, days are bright and vivid and nights are darker than vanilla. To be honest, it looks a bit saturated and some might not like that but I always had a crush on vivid colors. RAGE 64-bit Executable File will be released, more news about Mod Tools coming soon

I seriously don’t know if you’ll get excited about it, but John Carmack has confirmed that a 64bit executable version of RAGE will be released. Carmack didn’t give any specific details about the gains that it could possibly introduce but when a fan asked whether this 64bit version was cancelled or not, Carmack responded and reassured him that it will be released as it’s now in the Q&A phase.
As Carmack tweeted:
“it is still in QA, but it is definitely going to be released.”
In other news, iD Software revealed a while ago that they have not forgotten about all those promises for a PC Level Editor and Mod Tools. As the company tweeted a couple of weeks ago, they’ll be sharing new information soon. Well, it’s been two weeks since then and we haven’t heard anything from them.
Here is hoping that iD Software won’t use Valve’s ‘time schedule’ for their announcements.
