Thankfully, modder ‘AdPipino’ released a great tool called Textures Optimizer. Practically this program does not affect the quality of textures (1% if the original is in TGA / BMP). Texture Optimizer basically compresses (via lossless methods) the textures to a format that takes up less space in memory to avoid slow loading. This is basically a Viking age environment built and took the modder around 6 months to create it. It looks bloody amazing, so go ahead and give it a go!
