Better late than never I guess. AMD’s Catalyst Creator hinted today to RAGE’s upcoming patch that will most probably be released alongside the game’s level editor at the end of this month. This new patch will include a texture sharpening option that was promised by John Carmack some months ago. Modder Pluto released yesterday the latest version of his Realistic Lighting Without Post-Processing Mod for Skyrim. According to the modder, this mod makes the lighting more realistic without the use of screen shader injections or other post-processing. This means that there will be no performance decrease at all, and all weather and locations have unique light settings. Although gionight hasn’t released his ENBSeries settings yet, modder Confidence Man went ahead and tweaked the ENBSeries Skyrim Mod to recreate a more realistic look. The end result, as you can see in the following screenshots, is jaw-dropping and quite similar to gionight’s offer. Seriously, this is the best ENBSeries mod for Skyrim, therefore, we highly recommend downloading and using it. Ah, RAGE. A game with so potential that was never meant to be released in its current state on the PC. You’d think that iD Software would try their best to redeem themselves and fix it in due time, right? Well, apparently iD Software has other plans. A few days ago, we informed you about the latest version of SkyBoost, a CPU performance optimization mod that is based on Arisu’s TESV Acceleration Layer. After the findings of Arisu, we were hoping that Bethesda would acknowledged and fix it in a future patch. Apparently, that’s not the case as Alexander Blade, author of SkyBoost, claimed that Bethesda has no interest in boosting the PC version of Skyrim. The good thing about SkyBoost is that it does not require the SKSE, which basically means that you simply install this plugin – like most others – and you are good to go.
