Boris Vorontsov has just released the first version of his ENBSeries mod for Bethesda’s RPG, Skyrim. This first version of the ENBSeries is compatible with the latest 1.3 version of Skyrim and brings some interesting enhancements to the table. This mod is basically a graphic enhancement with big amount of controls for users, as they can modify brightess in HDR for clouds, stars, aurora, sun, moons (sun and moons textures must be unchanged at first pixel color on them, gray and black accordinly), sun corona, sun light, ambient light, and textures gamma. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Patch 1.3 Is Now Available On Steam; 4GB Support Coming In A Future Patch

Well, that was quick. Bethesda released a new update for their RPG with its awesome ‘backwards-flying-cute-ish’ dragons, Skyrim. As you may have guessed, this patch fixes that hilarious bug – as well as the magic resistance issue – and brings some new improvements to the table. What’s also really interesting is that this update comes with optimized performance for Core 2 Duo CPUs. Well done Bethesda. As always, the patch will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and you can view the entire changelog after the jump. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – New Timelapse Video

YouTube user ‘deepcameo’ uploaded a series of time lapse clips shot around Skyrim on PC set to Ultra High settings. There is something really awesome in these timelapse videos that is really hard to explain. It might be the fact that we get to see how the engine renders various scenes in different time of days or the fact that it’s like looking into the past (or into the future, whatever suits you). Fact is that this kind of videos are a beauty to watch so go ahead and take a look at it! Continue reading The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – New Timelapse Video

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – “HD Retexture Landscape” marks a new age of visuals for Bethesda’s RPG

Now that’s what we’ve been waiting for. Contrary to the first HD Texture Packs that got released earlier, modder Z4G4 went ahead and re-textured most of them in higher resolution. Now don’t get the wrong impression; these new textures are not the originals, re-touched with noise or any other sharpening tools. No my friends. These are brand new HD textures that are miles better than those of Skyrim vanilla. Or to put it simply; this is how the PC version of Skyrim should look in the first place. Download link and comparison shots are bellow and we dare you; take a good look at them and tell us that you are not impressed. Come on, go ahead, don’t be shy! Continue reading The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – “HD Retexture Landscape” marks a new age of visuals for Bethesda’s RPG

It looks beautiful and this new, version 2.0 update will be released this month… hopefully. Enjoy the video after the jump! Continue reading Morrowind 2011 Version 2.0 – Preview Footage

Morrowind Overhaul Version 2.0 Coming This Christmas

Ah, Skyrim. Such an amazing game and yet we haven’t covered it in our performance analysis section. There is a reason to that and that’s obviously due to some mods that we are really looking forward to. Then again, our GTX295 is not powerful enough to handle most of the high-resolution textures so we’d be limited by its low vRam. Add to this that Bethesda didn’t send us a review code and that we need to cover first Serious Sam 3 and there you have it. And while most of you are already enjoying this RPG, some modders felt the need to return and overhaul – for one more time – Bethesda’s previous gem. Yeap, that’s right everyone; Morrowind is about to get another big overhaul this Christmas. Continue reading Morrowind Overhaul Version 2.0 Coming This Christmas

PC gamers, rejoice; Latest version of SKSE has unofficial fix for No Resistance Bug

As we’ve informed you yesterday, Skyrim 1.2 came with a game breaking issue as the resistance to magic effects was completely broken. To be more precise, modder ‘behippo’ released yesterday a new version of his team’s – work in progress – ’Skyrim Script Extender’ Mod that fixes this issue. We are not certain how behippo and his team has managed to fix it, and we don’t really care to be honest. Point is that with SKSE, the game is now playable for all of us. PC gamers, be advised: Skyrim 1.2 comes with broken Damage/Magic Resistance; Crashes To Desktop still present

Oh boy, I certainly wouldn’t want to be in Bethesda’s place right now as every gamer is cursing them. Since the PC version of Skyrim’s latest update was delayed, we were hoping that it wouldn’t be haunted by bugs or issues. However, that’s not the case so make sure to avoid upgrading to it right now. Why? Because the damage/magic resistance is completely broken in the 1.2 version. Now this is a global issue and not something that only a bunch of PC gamers are experiencing so yeah, this is a crucial issue, especially if you are a Mage. Therefore, make sure to run the game in offline mode in order to avoid Steam’s auto-update functionality. Naturally, some might find these textures better while others might feel that they are too different for their taste. You can find bellow more details about this Texture Pack, as well as some screenshots for it.
