Enjoy the first 20 minutes of Bethesda’s upcoming RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As usual, these first 20 minutes contain some spoilers so avoid this video if you want to experience the game the way it was meant to be played. Skyrim is slated for release on November 11th and promises to be one of the best games of 2011. Oh, and although Bethesda claimed that its game engine is brand new… well, it’s obvious that it is based on the old Gamebryo. A rumor appeared this morning, stating that Doom 4 is “indefinitely postponed” due to RAGE’s disappointing launch. Everyone was shocked and a bit depressed with how the mighty have fallen. Moreover, those who were looking forward to Doom 4 got a bit worried as there was a possibility that it would get canceled. You’ve probably already heard of a high resolution texture pack for RAGE was rumored to get released after its official launch. This rumored texture pack was supposed to be 150GB in size and would update the game’s low-res textures with some proper, high-res ones. Well, this is not gonna happen as John Carmack admited that the source textures are almost the same as the ones that are currently used in RAGE PC. iD Software’s first patch for RAGE locked most of the console commands that a lot of PC gamers were using. As you’d expect, pretty much everyone complained to iD and it seems that a new patch will be rolled out that will actually bring back all of console commands to the PC version of RAGE. Fan film director Blake Armstrong and his team have put together a short, live-action Skyrim trailer. According to Blake, their budget was quite limited and although this trailer captures cleverly Skyrim’s atmosphere, we kind of hoped that it would feature dragons and an extended footage of the fights. Bethesda has just released the first PC patch for the latest FPS game from iD Software, RAGE. As was promised, this patch adds – among other things – some video options with which players can adjust their gaming experience.
