Amidst every blockbuster release each year, for some gamers, some titles just don’t stand up to the rest in terms of anticipation. This is maybe either due to a bad first impression from demos or due to the fact that they might be sequels to games that were disappointing. However, some of these games outperform their expectations and are ultimately a finer part of gaming. This personal list is a pick of those games which I believe were not only better than expected but also better than most games that year. Devil’s Details has released a new update for the PC version of Binary Domain. This new update comes with various fixes, corrected jumbled Options menu tooltips, voice controls disabled by default, updated keyboard controls for menu navigation and adjusted mouse movement for menu navigation. Binary Domain was well received on consoles, and we were delighted to hear that this squad-based shooter would be coming to our beloved platform. And to be honest, we were expecting more than a shoddy port. Sure, we didn’t expect to see higher-resolution textures or extra PC features but this is a really bad and poor port. Okay, we’ve seen worse ports than this but let’s face; this is a port that screams ‘consolitus’ and we know that some of you hate this word, but that’s the truth. As promised, SEGA has released today the PC version of Binary Domain. The PC version was developed by Devil’s Details and is currently priced at 39.99 euros on Steam. Binary Domain puts players in the middle of a fast-paced and intense battle for humanity in robot-invaded 2080 Tokyo. Fighting through the derelict lower levels of the city, players control an international peace-keeping squad that soon starts to question their surroundings and the choices they made. It’s been a lot of confusion regarding Binary Domain’s PC release date. The game was originally slated for an early April release (according to its Steam page back then) but SEGA has updated that page with a new and a bit generic April date. Back then, we contacted the company for some clarification and today we got a reply, stating that the game would hit digital stores in April 27th. A couple of hours ago we informed you about Binary Domain hitting PC. Well, get ready everyone as you can already pre-purchase the game on Steam. Moreover, we can now see that the game will use Steamworks as its DRM and will also support Steam’s Achievements, Cloud and Leaderboards. Those who decide to pre-order will receive for free the Multiplayer Pack, which includes an exclusive map, two weapons and ninja costumes. PC gamers, rejoice as SEGA has just announced that their squad-based shooter will be coming to our beloved platform. Although we do not have any specific release date yet, we know that it will come in April and that the port is a result of the high demand for that particular version. Binary Domain PC will become available to both retail and digital stores. Moreover, the game will require an internet connection in order to be installed. SEGA hasn’t commented on the game’s DRM yet.
