Ah, it’s that time of year again. 2013 was a good year, full of surprises. It was also the year we got our first ‘next-gen’ titles, so it’s time now to see which are the top 10 PC optimized games of 2013. Before beginning, let us be crystal clear on this; we are not judging their gameplay mechanics. No no no no. We’re focusing on their tech side. This year we’ve also included the biggest disappointments, as well as some honorable mentions. So, let’s take a look at our list, shall we?
2K Games has released the launch trailer of the first episode for BioShock Infinite’s latest DLC, Burial at Sea. 2K Games and Irrational have released the first five minutes of Bioshock: Infinite’s upcoming DLC, Burial at Sea. This new DLC for Bioshock: Infinite will give players a taste of Rapture in its full glory, almost entirely built from scratch in the BioShock Infinite engine. Irrational Games and 2K Games have officially revealed the first DLCs for Bioshock Infinite so let’s start with the big DLC that is planned for release later this year. Titled ‘Burial At Sea’, this upcoming DLC will return players to Rapture. According to the company, the gameplay has been modified to give the player an original BioShock combat experience that merges the best parts of BioShock and BioShock Infinite. A lot of rumors have been flying around lately about the first DLC of Bioshock: Infinite and today we got a little teaser about it. The PC version of Bioshock: Infinite has been updated and Irrational Games has added features necessary to support upcoming DLC. This obviously means that some crucial files for the first DLC have been added, and it remains to be seen whether PC gamers will be able to find them before 2K Games officially announces this DLC. Christopher Bischoff, creator of Stasis, has recreated Bioshock: Infinite’s Columbia, showcasing what an isometric version of Irrational Games’ title would look like. And in all honesty, we’d love to play such a version of it (provided of course it was more tactical and featured further RPG elements).
