Bohemia Interactive has released some new screenshots for its upcoming sim military shooter, ArmA 3. ArmA 3 will enter its alpha stage next week and those who pre-order it will be able to access it immediately. Bohemia will also launch a free alpha version of ArmA 3, one week later. Arma 3 Alpha will feature four showcase missions (Infantry, Vehicles, SCUBA and Helicopter), a limited subset of weapons and vehicles, two multiplayer scenarios, the powerful scenario editor and modding support. Bohemia Interactive today announced their plans for the upcoming PC-exclusive tactical military shooter game, Arma 3. From next week onward, Tuesday March 5th, all are welcome to try out the authentic military gameplay and assist in the game’s development by participating in the Arma 3 Alpha. The Alpha will feature a limited amount of playable and sandbox content, receive regular updates and remain accessible until Arma 3’s Beta starts – which is expected in the second quarter of this year. Reddit’s user ‘floor24’ spotted an ARG website for Bohemia Interactive’s upcoming FPS military sim game, ArmA 3. According to the Reddit-or, this website was discovered last night, by people monitoring the Gamespy Servers for any ARMA 3 servers. Last week, we presented you some new screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. Well, time now to see it in motion. Rocket and Matt provided a quick overview of some new elements of the DayZ Standalone project, including the new engine support for clothing, the revised loot spawning mechanics, and some new areas on the map. In all seriousness, this seems really close to the DayZ mod (in terms of visuals), so let’s hope that they’ll overhaul them in the coming months.
