Dean Hall and his team have released a new update for their amazing ArmA 2 total conversion, DayZ. This update brings major performance increases, fixes the issue where infected/zombies could see through terrain, and this time around, infected will inspect thrown items. Kotaku has published today an interesting opinion piece by Katie Williams. Katie attended this year’s E3 and faced a sexist attitude towards her from various PR representatives. Although Katie did not reveal which studios were the ones that had that attitude towards her, she described a game in which she encountered – perhaps for the first time during E3 – that sexist attitude and it seems that this game is no other than Bohemia’s Interactive military FPS, ArmA III. During E3, Bohemia Interactive has revealed some new minimum specifications for their amazing military sim game, ArmA 3. According to the company, ArmA 3 will require at least a dual-core with 2GB of RAM, 15GB of free disk space and an Nvidia 8800GT or an ATI Radeon HD 3830. In addition, it seems that ArmA 3 will not support DX9 at all as the game requires Shader Model 4. Moreover, Windows XP will not be supported. You can view the new minimum PC requirements below. ArmA 3 promises to be one of the best games of 2013 and Bohemia has just released a presentation preview E3 video for it. ArmA 3 will also be present in E3 where three operatives of the Arma 3 development team will be presenting a variety of showcases, such as diving, helicopters and night ops – using Camp Maxwell, a military outpost on Stratis, as the base of operations. DayZ is awesome. No, DayZ is mind-blowing (although a bit rough around the edges). No, DayZ is the new Counter-Strike. Yeap, that’s right. Remember when CS was released and Half-Life saw an increase in its sales? Well, that is happening right now with DayZ and ArmA 2. And as with all ‘big’ things, a live-action short film surfaced out of nowhere. Created by ChickenFriedComedy, this film shows what will – most probably – happen in your first playthrough. Great news for zombie fans as the team behind the amazing ArmA II mod, DayZ, has released a new version for it. DayZ 1.6.0 brings a new Tank Trap kit model, Hatchet for chopping wood in forests, female survivor options, as well as heat packs for increasing temperature in an emergency and numerous fixes.
