IGN has revealed some brand new details – and concept arts – for Bungie’s follow-up to the Halo franchise, Destiny. Contrary to Halo, Destiny aims to please a lot of young gamers, and will feature a big world to explore with friends. In Project Lumoria, players will embark on a journey that brings you to the Forerunner world of Lumoria. When a scientific research crew sends out a beacon of distress, the UNSC frigate “The Endless Horizon”, a frigate class ship, is sent in to execute a low-profile search and rescue operation. PC gamers and Bungie fans, get ready because we have the first info for Destiny, Bungie’s upcoming MMO that will be published by Activision. According to a court report, Bungie is developing a assively multiplayer style, sci-fantasy action shooter series codenamed ‘Destiny’ with expansion packs codenamed ‘Comet’. Destiny will see four games that are slated for release in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, as well as four expansion packs that are planned for a 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020 respectively. Some of you may hate Bungie and their Halo series. However, that’s not the right time to express that and contrary to a lot of triple-A studios, Bungie has publically stated that they are against SOPA. Yeap, that’s right; Bungie is joining the fight against SOPA. As Bungie revealed, they are opposed to ‘any legislation that curtails free speech, stifles innovation, and prevents the open sharing of information on the Internet‘. We’ve seen Lara in a lot of violin covers for various games and she recently did a violin cover for Skyrim’s theme. It was cool, no doubt about that. But her new violin cover for Halo’s theme is simply fantastic. According to Lara, this has been quite a popular request lately and the backing is from Halo 2 (the original tune is one of the best games tunes ever and is from Martin O’Donnell & Michael Salvatori).
