It appears that Engadget has spoiled Activision’s surprise regarding Destiny 2. While the publisher will hold a Destiny 2 stream at 10AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern, Engadget leaked that the base game will go free to play this September, will be renamed to Destiny 2: New Light, and it will be also coming to Steam. The first Halo game has a special place in my heart. I remember when it was still a PC-exclusive and reading all about it in Voodoo Magazine. At that time, I had a Voodoo 2, Voodoo Banshee was the first 2D/3D card from 3DFX available to the market and Voodoo 3 was not released yet. Much like Voodoo 2, Voodoo Banshee was only supporting 16-bit colours but that was about to change as Halo was one of the few games that showcased – at least back then – the big difference between 16-bit and 32-bit colour rendering. Destiny 2 patch 1.1.3 is now available, full release notes revealed, adds text chat to the PC
Bungie has released a brand new update for Destiny 2. According to the release notes, this new patch will update your game’s version to 1.1.3 and adds opt-in Text Chat to the PC in Social Spaces and Public Areas. Also, the projectiles from the Colony Exotic Grenade Launcher properly now track enemies on PC when frame rate is set higher than 30 FPS.
