As with all rumors, take everything you are about to read with a grain of salt. A new Call of Duty game was listed on Tesco Direct, an online retailer, suggesting that Activision’s next COD title could be called ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this name appearing, as earlier rumors suggested that the next COD title would be called… Call of Duty: Ghosts. A couple of minutes ago, Infinity Ward has revealed – via its official FB page – a new image of Captain Price. This new image is probably a teaser for the upcoming reveal of the next Call of Duty title, and we can safely assume that Captain Price will be featured in it. After all, there wouldn’t be any reason to share such a picture if that wasn’t a hint, right? Naturally, Infinity Ward has not revealed anything other than this image that was placed as a cover photo, so go ahead and enjoy it after the jump! A new video – that looks like a teaser trailer of Modern Warfare 4 – has appeared on the Net a couple of minutes ago. Since this isn’t anything official and as nothing has been confirmed right now, you should definitely take it with a grain of salt. Still, it looked interesting so we decided to share it with you. This teaser presents Captain Price who seems to be in Mexico. GDC 2013 is underway and everyone is currently awaiting for the upcoming reveal of Battlefield 4. Therefore, this is either an intentional leak or a fake video that was created in order to take attention away from BF4. Activision declined to comment on the trailer, so this could be the real deal. That, or Activision is playing its cards right and wants to keep people guessing (at least for today). Enjoy! Continue reading Rumor: Is This The First Teaser For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4?→
Remember the teaser website of Modern Warfare 4? Well, it appears that it was valid as a new poster has appeared (kudos to Insomnia’s Psycho_Warhead for spotting it) today, hinting at an incoming announcement/reveal on March 21st. Not only that, but it seems that four studios are working on it: Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games and Neversoft. Naturally, the game will be published by Activision. The poster also indicates that Activision will reveal more during PAX East (or GDC), otherwise there wouldn’t be a poster for just the fan-made movie reveal. Ah, the Internet. You can find anything there, from glorious leaks to awkward troll attempts. One such attempt was a teaser site that got spotted today, supposedly revealing that a teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 4 would go live on March 21st. This website was hosted in Russian name servers and Infinity Ward’s is most probably headquartered in Russia. Not only that, but the domain registration information from here says it’s registered to Infinity Ward. Well, this was to be expected. It’s well known that Treyarch and Infinity Ward shared (and will continue sharing) the Call of Duty franchise year on year, and since Black Ops 2 is almost upon us, one can only guess what Infinity Ward has been up to this whole time. Yeap, the company is obviously working on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, something that was confirmed by the voice-actor of Captain Price. Shocking, right?
