Okay, we can officially kiss Resident Evil 6 goodbye. Well, that only goes to all old-school Resident Evil fans as they will be utterly disappointed by Capcom’s decision to use a regenerating health system. Yeap, you read that right. A health regeneration system in a horror game. Yeah, Resident Evil 6 is not as horror centric as its predecessors but still, this is the first time we’ve seen such a health system in a Resident Evil game. Capcom has released the E3 trailer of Lost Planet 3. It seems ironic but Lost Planet 3 seems more like a Dead Space game than a Lost Planet one. Instead of being full action-packed with explosions and the likes, this latest iteration of Capcom’s franchise embraces the survival/horror elements. The result is a bit awkward, as we’d expect completely different things from such a game.Let’s hope that these horror segments are not overused and that the final product will feature more action. Enjoy! Continue reading E3 2012 – Lost Planet 3 Official Trailer→
Capcom has released the official E3 2012 trailer of Devil May Cry. This upcoming DMC game is basically a reboot to the series and is addressed to younger gamers. It’s obvious that Capcom is trying to bring a new audience to it with Dante’s latest, emo looks but if we can overlook Dante’s appearance, we can see that the game seems quite faithful to the series and it is what we’d expect from a Devil May Cry game. Anyway, enjoy the trailer everyone. Devil May Cry is planned for release on current generation consoles and PC! Continue reading E3 2012 – Devil May Cry – Official Trailer→
Capcom showcased the latest build of Resident Evil 6 during Microsoft’s E3 2012 Conference and you can find below some new footage from it. As we can see, Resident Evil 6 feels awkward as the quick time events (that were introduced in RE4) have been extended and enhanced. It does look somehow interesting, although there were a lot of framedrops in the X360 build. Let’s hope that Capcom will optimize the game’s scenes in order to avoid them. The company has also released the official E3 trailer for it. Resident Evil 6 is slated for an October 2nd release on X360 and PS3. The game will also hit PC at a later date! If memory serves right, Lost Planet 1 was a fantastic third person action game with huge bosses. Fast forward a couple of years and here we are today with Lost Planet 3, a game that looks more similar to Dead Space than to its predecessors. Pressing buttons? Check. Riding elevators? Check. Slow movement? Dark hallways? Check. Quick-time events? Check. Man, talk about inconsistency. Anyway, you can find the gameplay video below, so go ahead and take a look! Remember when we claimed that Devil May Cry would be coming to the PC? Well, we were right as Capcom has officially unveiled that the game will hit our beloved platform in 2013, after the release of its console version. Not only that, but the game’s development is ‘well underway’, meaning that Capcom is not waiting to finish the console version before starting developing it, which was the case with SSF4: AE. According to the press release, the game is developed by Ninja Theory and this could be the first PC title from this company, so it will be interesting to see how it will perform and whether it will be a polished port or not.
