First Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales update available for download, full release notes revealed

CD Projekt RED has released the first patch for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. According to the release notes, this patch will update your game’s version to 1.01 and will scale your opponents’ power and armor values – depending on the map – in the “Battle-Hardened” and “Bonebreaker” difficulty settings. Cyberpunk 2077 will not be present at the Video Games Award 2018

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales has not met CD Projekt’s sales expectations

Last month, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, a brand new RPG adventure set in the universe of professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia, came out on GOG. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics, and it appears that it has not met CD Projekt’s initial sales expectations. CD Projekt RED has not been limited by the current-gen hardware for Cyberpunk 2077

In an interview with CGMagOnline, CD Projekt RED’s Maciej Pietras claimed that the team has not been limited at all by the current-gen hardware for Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077 will be powered by Red Engine and Pietras said that CD Projekt RED is still upgrading it and finding new ways to use the new technical features that speed up the work. The Witcher writer, Andrzej Sapkowski, demands $16 million from CD Projekt RED

It appears that the writer of The Witcher books, Andrzej Sapkowski, is demanding $16 million from CD Projekt RED, beyond what had been contractually agreed upon contract. From the looks of it, Sapkowski never believed that The Witcher games would be such a success and as such, he did not originally agreed for a percentage of CD Projekt RED’s profits. Instead, he sold the rights for a video-game for a fixed sum. However, and now that these games have sold millions, the writer wants a piece of that cake.
