YouTube’s member ‘ryslaw’ has shared a video, showcasing the E3 2004 build of the first The Witcher game. As ryslaw revealed, the game’s combat mechanics were inspired by another RPG called Summoner (in which you could chain attacks). This version was powered by the Aurora Engine that was used in Neverwinter Nights. It looks cool, so be sure to check it out. We’ve also included the first part of ryslaw’s “The Witcher History” in which he revealed that the game was originally meant to be a top-down RPG with a fully customized character. Enjoy! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out and PC gamers have been experimenting with SweetFX in order to further enhance its visuals. And while we’ve seen some interesting SweetFX configs, nothing can come close to this unreleased config. It remains a mystery whether this mod will get released – especially since there are so many alternatives – however in our opinion this SweetFX config makes The Witcher 3 look gorgeous. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Proper Comparison Screenshots Between Final Version & “VGX” Trailer
Remember the Wild Hunt village scene from the game’s VGX trailer? Well, good news is that this scene is present even in the final version of The Witcher 3. The bad news is that this scene shows some of the differences between the VGX trailer and the final build. As always, the smoke effects are the ones that have been severely ‘downgraded. Particles effects are fewer in the final version, and the lighting system seems to have taken a hit. Kudos to NeoGAF’s member ‘JoeLT‘ for sharing the images. CD Projekt RED removes “PS4 vs PC” Comparison Video, Details Differences Between These Platforms
A couple of hours ago, PCGamesHardware shared a video comparison between the PC and the PS4 versions of The Witcher 3. However, CD Projekt RED got in touch with the German website and removed the video at CD Projekt RED’s request. CD Projekt RED’s ‘Marcin Momot’ revealed this information, and shed some light between the differences between the game’s PC and PS4 builds.
