The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt To Be Showcased At This Year’s VGX

The Witcher fans, this is for you. In the latest episode of GT.TV we got to see some short new scenes from The Witcher 3, and it has been confirmed that the game will be showcased at this year’s VGX. VGX will air on December 7th 6PM ET, will last 3 hours and will feature extended gameplay demos for a number of games. From the looks of it, The Witcher 3 will be one of them, therefore we can’t wait to see what CDPR has been working on this whole time. CD Projekt Reconfirms – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Will Be DRM-Free

A couple of days ago, we informed you about Namco Bandai distributing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Europe. Naturally, a lot of fans wondered whether CDPR would get – yet again – into trouble for offering a DRM-free version of The Witcher 3. Thankfully, Namco Bandai gave the green light to our beloved Polish guys, meaning that all PC version of The Witcher 3 will be DRM-free from the get-go. The Witcher Series Has Sold Over Six Million Copies

CD Projekt RED revealed today that the ‘The Witcher’ series has sold six million copies combined. In addition, Geralt is celebrating today his sixth birthday. IDV revealed today that CD Projekt RED’s upcoming The Witcher title will be powered by its SpeedTree technology. As the press release reads, this will be the third title in the series to integrate SpeedTree middleware into the story-driven experience and natural environments that have become a trademark of the franchise. The Witcher 3’s Fur Tech Will Most Probably Bring Your GPUs To Their Knees

During this year’s PAX Prime, Nvidia showcased its Fur Tech that will be used in The Witcher 3. In this demo, Nvidia showcased what its latest tech looks like, however it seems that this particular technique will require a really high-end graphics card in order to be enjoyed. In fact, Nvidia demoed its Fur tech at a mere resolution of 1024×768 and the Titan card was able to only push 65fps when there were two wolves on screen. As you may already know, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was shown behind closed doors in this year’s Gamescom. Well, good news for all of you who could not attend this event – and were not invited in CDPR’s presentation – as someone has managed to leak some gameplay footage that was showcased. The bad news is that the quality of the video is as bad as it can get (as someone has recorded the game via a hidden camera).
