Our reader Sid Spyker has spotted a mysterious counter on the official Polish website of The Witcher 2. As the counter suggests, something – regarding The Witcher 2 franchise – will be unveiled in 29 days. It’s still a long way until then, but what could this actually be? We do know that CD Projekt RED has released the Mac version of The Witcher 2 and that the Redkit Mod Tools will be released during the first half of 2013 to all who own a copy of The Witcher 2. A couple of days ago, we informed you about a Summer surprise for the Steam version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and it’s time now to unveil what this surprise actually is. In case you’ve been wondering and haven’t figured it out yet, this Summer surprise is an Achievement that also gives you a new, flaming version of Quen that can incinerate attackers. CD Projekt RED has just hinted at a Summer surprise for owners of The Witcher 2’s Steam version. According to the team, PC gamers should fire up their Steam copy of “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings” because they’ve prepared something special for everyone who’s bought the game on that platform.
