F1 2013 – Classic 1988 Ferrari F1-87/88C at Circuito De Jerez Hotlap

Codemasters has released a new hotlap video for F1 2013, featuring Gerhard Berger in the 1988 Ferrari F1-87/88C at Circuito De Jerez. F1 2013 promises to give Formula 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of Formula One with a range of classic content from the 1980s. F1 Classics, introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker, allows players to race iconic 1980s cars from Williams, Lotus and Ferrari against drivers including Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Gerhard Berger, with more to be announced, on classic circuits Brands Hatch and Jerez. F1 2013 – Two New Screenshots & Spa Francorchamps Hotlap

Codemasters sent us a new batch of screenshots, as well as a video showing off a hotlap from the ‘Spa Francorchamps’ stage. Unfortunately, the Gamescom 2013 screenshots were almost the same with those we published last week. F1 2013 – New Screenshots & Trailer, Releases On October 4th

Codemasters has released a new set of screenshots and a brand new trailer for F1 2013. F1 2013 will be available in two editions. F1 2013 includes the full game of the current season and classic content from the 1980s, which is playable in the new game mode F1 Classics. Alternatively, fans can choose to purchase F1 2013: Classic Edition, a premium version of the game limited to a run of just 10,000 units in the UK, featuring bespoke box art and expanding the game with 1990s Content and Classic Track Packs. GRID 2 – Community Patch Will Bring Mod Support

Well, this is a nice surprise. Codemasters announced that it will be bringing mod support to GRID 2 via its upcoming Community Patch. This is the first time that a Codemasters racing title will be officially supporting mods. Yes, we’ve got some brilliant mods for Codies’ previous racing games, but now they will be officially supported. So that’s good news all around. F1 2013 – PC System Requirements Revealed – Will Be DX11-Only, Will Not Support Windows XP

Codemasters has revealed the official PC system requirements for its upcoming F1 racing game, F1 2013. According to the Codies, F1 2013 won’t support Windows XP and will use a DX11 API. As with most DX11 titles, though, PC gamers will be able to use DX10 cards to run the game – with some effects being disabled of course. Codemasters has officially revealed F1 2013. F1 2013 is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC as part of Codemasters exclusive multi-year deal with Formula One World Championship Limited, and the game will be available worldwide in two editions: F1 2013 and F1 2013: CLASSIC EDITION. GRID 2 – PC Performance Analysis

A lot of controversy surrounded GRID 2’s initial announcement. As stated by the Codies themselves, only 5% of its fanbase used the cockpit view, therefore the company decided to ditch it over in order to further overhaul the game’s environments. As we said back when that was announced, that decision was mostly taken due to the limited raw power of both current-gen consoles, something that is further hinted by the game’s inability to take advantage of a fourth CPU cores.
