Team Psykskallar announced that a standalone version of its amazing horror game, Cry of Fear, will be released on April 24th via Steam. The good news is that this standalone version of Cry of Fear will be distributed for free, and won’t require Half-Life in order to be played. Moreover, players will be able to create custom stories for Cry of Fear, so it will be interesting to see how modders will be able to extend or offer completely different stories. Team Psykskallar has released a new version for their amazing Half-Life total conversion, Cry of Fear. This might be the team’s biggest patch yet for their total conversion and can be easily considered as a DLC, given the fact that it contains an awesome new game mode, as well as new maps and monsters. Amnesia fans, forget what you’re doing and download this mod for Half-Life. Cry of Fear is the closest thing you’ll ever get to Amnesia and is an amazing total conversion for Valve’s old gem. The time has finally come. Cry of Fear, the horror Total Conversion for Half-Life and spiritual successor to “Afraid of Monsters” has finally been released. To launch the mod, it is important that you launch it through the shortcut that the install wizard is generating for you. ModDB’s awards are almost upon us and Team Psykskallar has just released the MOTY 2011 trailer for their upcoming Half-Life mod, Cry of Fear. Cry of Fear promises to be one of the best horror mods and although its graphics are dated, it has a great atmosphere and the magic – and ideas – of most indie games. Team Psykskallar had recently posted a call to increase awareness of our mod and promised to release four new co-op screenshots when they’d hit 1500 ‘likes’ in Facebook. The team has just informed us that they’ve reached that goal and here are the brand new screenshots of its co-op mode. Now I know that some of you might think that these screenies look dated, but keep in mind that Cry of Fear is a total conversion for the first Half-Life.
