Jurassic Park Invades CryEngine 3 With Yet Another Fan-Made Game
It’s pretty obvious by now that PC gamers NEED a good Jurassic Park game, an FPS title that can blow our minds away, an FPS that can come as close to the first film’s environments as possible, and a game that will look as good as most modern-day titles (or even better). So, today we bring you another game that is being developed via CryEngine 3’s SDK, called Jurassic Park: Aftermath. This game is being created by a single guy who has released a video for it, showcasing his work over the past 3 weeks. It looks remarkably amazing, though it still needs a lot of work (especially with the models and AI of the dinosaurs). What really impressed us with Aftermath, though, was the environments. Crytek to Show GFACE and Warface at GDC Expo 2013, Incoming New Tech Demo
Crytek has confirmed details of what they will be presenting at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Situated at booth #1402 in the Main Expo’s South Hall, Crytek will be inviting attendees to take a closer look at their GFACE social gaming platform and how it integrates with free-to-play FPS Warface, as well as presenting the latest in game development technology with a series of CryENGINE 3 demonstrations. Crash Bandicoot Returns Comes To CryEngine 3 As A Standalone Freeware Game
We’ve covered Crash Bandicoot Returns in the past, and we were really wondering what had happened to this Crysis mod as there weren’t any news lately. Thankfully, the team behind it broke its radio silence and revealed some interesting new information about it. First and foremost, Crash Bandicoot Returns is no longer a Crysis mod. The team decided to use CryEngine 3 and as a result of that, this will be a standalone game (completely free and available online for PC only). Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [March 3rd – 9th]; Bioshock & Halo In CryEngine 3
Today we bring you new shots from 3D artists and CryEngine 3 modders Glode, scotthomer, Rens, chicken, QuadReaktor, ReVan1199, EliteGhost and i59. The highlight of this week is undoubtedly scotthomer’s finished Bioshock environment, as well as Rens’ finished environment based on Bungie’s Halo. These two guys will be featured in the next issue of the online Vertex magazine, so make sure to keep an eye on it. Both scotthomer and Rens proved that CryEngine 3 has a lot of potential, so here is hoping that developers will start taking advantage of it. Enjoy! Crysis 3 – Patch 1.2 & Data Patch C Are Now Available
Crytek has rolled out a new update for Crysis 3, as well as a new data patch for its multiplayer mode. According to the company, this new update comes with a number of fixes. Going into more details, patch 1.2 fixes particle shader causing black squares/broken shading on some graphics cards, shadering issue with underwater fog, as well as the root cause of some graphics driver crashes.
