Remember when we told you, earlier last week, that Duke Nukem 3D would be coming to CryEngine 3? Well, it seems that another classic game will also find its way to Crytek’s engine. Mapper ‘Cleric’ was working in a CryEngine 2 map that would be based on the first level of iD Software’s little gem, but hit many walls and never got very far due to various problems. With the release of CryEngine 3’s SDK, the mapper decided restart that project in Crysis 2 and released some new screenshots from it. Cleric is currently recreating the first level, but there is a possibility for more Quake maps. Enjoy! Okay, I’m totally amazed by Crysis 2’s modder ‘Chrome235’ work. Chrome235 is developing a mod for Crysis 2 called Arthias. Arthias is a Sci-Fi adventure which will tell a deep, complex, and comes with gorgeous graphics. Seriously, the amount of detail is astonishing and I can’t believe that this mod is developed by one and only man. The work that has been put on it is incredible and you’ll find bellow some screenshots and videos from it. Seriously Crytek, just hire this fella. Just…wow. Continue reading Crysis 2 Mod Arthias pushes CryEngine 3 to its limits and offers jaw-dropping visuals→
Now that’s what we’re talking about. Modder Anzer has just released the first screenshots of his upcoming mod for Crysis 2, Nuked Crysis. What is Nuked Crysis you ask? Well, it’s a re-imagining of Duke Nukem 3D in CryEngine 3, with Crysis 2’s assets. Anzer released some comparison shots and we have to say that Nuked Crysis is true to Duke Nukem 3D’s spirit. Anzer’s goal is to at least finish the first map (and maybe the next two as this re-mapping procedure needs a lot of time). This is simply amazing and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. No ETA has been announced as of yet, so stay tuned for more news about this promising mod! Continue reading Duke Nukem 3D comes to CryEngine 3 with the Nuked Crysis Mod→
CryEngine 3 is a really amazing engine and as we’ve said and before, we are shocked that most studios are not taking advantage of it. So, today we bring you some new screenshots from the works of USSR_GRAND, neo83_gr, rGOt, darkchazz, chicken, iSqueezee, bello2185, ShadosProd, Lavizh, and [P.W.N]UltraNOOB. Enjoy and let’s hope that some developers will license this engine and put it to good use! Continue reading Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [January 8th – 14th]→
Remember those mind-blowing carage shots of a Crysis 2 mod that were featured in one of our Weekly CryEngine 3 Galleries? No? Shame on you. Modder Tiesto is developing one of the best SP total conversions of Crysis 2 and has released its beta version. To put it simple; this is the best total conversion of Crysis 2. Hell, it even puts Crysis 2 itself to shame. According to the modder, this is only a beta, thus it does not contain many missions. In fact, the beta features only the Continuum map (all the other maps will be in the final release). Continue reading Crysis 2 SP Continuum Mod Beta Released; Behold the power of CryEngine 3→

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; you can’t comprehend the flexibility of Crytek’s latest game engine, CryEngine 3. Modders around the world are experimenting with it – thanks to the free SDK that was released by Crytek – and one of them is Gkan who is creating a soccer game. Now there are a lot of complex issues (regarding its collision system) but from what we’ve seen so far, this is how the next-generation version of Fifa would actually look like. It’s really impressive and get this; it’s from one man and not from a whole team, dedicated to it. Simply, amazing. Moreover, we bring you today some new screenshots from the_grim,iSqueezee, blackhorizon, neo83_gr, Cinoshe, and DURLI. Enjoy! Continue reading Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [December 25th – 31st]; this is how Fifa 13 would look like in CryEngine 3→
