MaLDo released some brand new comparison shots between his upcoming 3.0 Texture Pack and Crysis 2 DX11 Official High-Resolution Pack. As we can see, MaLDo has not only updated the textures but has also included shadows on grass, fixed some tessellation bugs and some other minor details. So here we are today with another bunch of CryEngine 3 shots and bloody hell, Wenda’s map looks phenomenal. Wenda is experimenting with CryEngine 3’s terrain capabilities and his map is among the best we’ve ever seen. Contrary to other modders, Wenda nailed the atmosphere and the TOD settings. There are rumors that Crytek might be developing the next part of the Timesplitters series but as nothing is certain at this point, someone decided to recreate the first game’s Bank level in Crysis 2. If you haven’t played Timesplitters, it will certainly look dated to you. But let us tell you that this map stays true to the one that was based on and that’s a plus in our books.
