Crytek has just announced the first DLC for Crysis 3. Earlier this week, Crytek hinted that players would be returning the tropical settings of Crysis 1. Hell, the company even used on of Nomad’s lines about the tropical setting. Nomad – tropical island – DLC… how could Crytek mess things up? Most of us thought that this would be an SP DLC – which could easily turn into something really interesting – though this is nothing more that a Map pack (packed with some additional modes and weapons). Needless to say that we were utterly disappointed with that announcement. Continue reading Crysis 3: The Lost Island DLC Revealed, First Screenshots Released→
Today we bring you new shots from modders benkeeling, Darfid, iSqueezee, JuninhoEcko, mystichobo, RMC, Synce, Tecnosofts, walid-payne and zsqss. The highlight of this week is Darfid’s indoor environment and walid-payne’s outdoor environment; two environments that reminded us of The Last Of Us and Outlaws. Darfid’s environment seems to be based on the upcoming PS4 game, The Last Of Us, while walid-payne’s environment looks similar to the levels found on Lucas Arts’ classic FPS, Outlaws. Enjoy! Today we bring you new shots from works of modders and 3D artists Insulaner, magictricknick2, Synce, Team Caravan, TeamCosmoBear, Trappsteg and uk-stryder. In addition, we’ve featured a video from modder ‘para vach’ that showcases a ‘fake’ dynamic cloud system. The highlight of this week is the Mafia and the countryside shots. 3D artist Insulaner and his friends have created a next-gen version of Mafia (for Polygon’s Escape contest) that looks spectacular. Team Caravan, on the other hand, created a countryside that reminded us of Fallout, proving that Crytek’s proprietary engine is capable of offering truly next-generation visuals. Enjoy! We’ve also included some videos from the indie CE3 title StoneRage, a HD FX/Particles mods that is a must-have (can be downloaded from here) and a video demonstration (from modder Mike Geebus) of what CryEngine 3’s modded ocean can look like.
