Crytek has revealed – via the game’s official FB page – that it will announce something for Crysis 3 this Wednesday. Our guess is that the company will kick off the game’s open beta phase. Let’s not forget that Crysis 3 is planned for a February release, meaning that this open beta will act as a demo and – as you may have guessed – won’t be as useful as it was back in Crysis 1. Still, we kind of hope that Crytek will offer gamers the ability to play the new Hunted mode of it. So, stay tuned everyone for this incoming announcement and until then, enjoy – for one more time – CryEngine 3’s latest tech demo. Continue reading Big Crysis 3 Announcement Coming This Wednesday→

Earlier this month, we posted Crysis 3’s official requirements. As those requirements suggested, Crysis 3 was planned to be a DX11-only title, something that was hinted by the game’s alpha beta stress test. However, and since Crytek did not officially comment on them, a lot of PC gamers believed that DX10 could be supported by the DX11 renderer, something that is happening in a lot of games. Unfortunately for those hoping for something like that, Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli revealed that Crysis 3 will be a DX11-only title. Electronic Arts has released the first episode of Crysis 3’s online video series. Contrary to other web-series, this one is created entirely via CryEngine 3 and showcases real-time in-game graphics. It looks cool, but then again we’d love to see something a bit better than a mix of FPS and cinematic free-roaming perspectives. Crysis 3 is currently planned for a February 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy the episode, courtesy of IGN! Continue reading Crysis 3 – The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3 – Episode 1: Hell of a Town→
