Crytek has unveiled some new screenshots and artworks for Crysis 3. Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay, and these new images showcase the game’s graphics. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced a creative partnership with renowned filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming sandbox shooter, Crysis 3. Entitled, “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”, this cinematic series will set the stage for this latest installment in the Crysis series and introduce weapons, enemies, and gameplay features new to the franchise. These cinematic shorts will also showcase the stunning visuals, dynamic environments of the urban rainforest and intense adaptive warfare fans can expect when Crysis 3 ships on Friday 22 February in UK. Electronic Arts and Crytek have released a new SP trailer for Crysis 3. In all seriousness, Crysis 3 looks astounding and beyond anything we’ve ever seen (at least in terms of visuals for vanilla PC games). Destructible objects? Check. Bendable vegetation? Check. Wind effects? Check. Anamorphic lens-flares that can easily blind you? Check. To put it simple; C3 looks gorgeous, even if its alpha stage (as Crytek suggests that this footage is from its alpha build). Crysis 3 is planned for a February 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Crytek has released a new trailer for Crysis 3, showcasing the games heart-pounding Hunter multiplayer mode. Featuring five two-minute rounds, Hunter mode is 2 vs. 10 on console (2 vs. 14 on PC) and starts off by pitting 2 Hunters against CELL Troopers. Outfitted with enhanced Nanosuits and armed with the all-new Predator composite bow, Hunters must stalk CELL Troopers, systematically taking them out one by one. The twist is that once a CELL Trooper is killed, they respawn as a Hunter, slowly tipping the balance until the round ends or there are no CELL Troopers left. Crysis fans, we’ve got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news is that Crysis 3’s MP alpha stage will begin in a couple of days (November 2nd). Vigil Games and Crytek have unveiled two new screenshots for Darksiders 2’s upcoming DLC and Crysis 3. Although there is no ETA about Darksiders 2’s DLC, we do know that it will be a brand new adventure and are pretty sure that most of its fans are already looking forward to it.
