CRYENGINE now supports the Vulkan API, features terrain upgrades & a new component entity system

Crytek announced today the release of a preview version for CRYENGINE that comes with a suite of major new features that will help developers achieve their vision more easily and make the engine even more accessible. AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition runs Crysis 3 with an average of 46fps at 1440p on Very High Settings

YouTube’s ‘DudeRandom84’ got his hands on an AMD Radeon Frontier Edition and decided to put Crysis 3 to the test. DudeRandom84 used the game’s Very High settings at 1440p with 2xMSAA, and the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Eition was simply unable to offer an optimal gaming experience. At E3 2017, Crytek showcased its upcoming multiplayer survival game powered, Hunt: Showdown. In Hunt: Showdown, five teams of two players track and kill demons in a huge map. Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown looks stunning in these first screenshots

Crytek has released the first screenshots for its upcoming PvP title, Hunt: Showdown. Crytek’s Senior Cinematic Artist experiments with photorealistic textures in CRYENGINE

Crytek’s Senior Cinematic Artist, Joe Garth, has been experimenting with some leaves from Quixel Megascans in CRYENGINE, and shared some screenshots showcasing them. This scene was very light as it featured a few assets and very low amount of drawcalls/polygons, which is why it was running with more than 100fps (though we do not know the specs of the PC used). First details & gameplay footage for Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown to be revealed at E3 2017

Crytek has announced that it will be showing gameplay from Hunt: Showdown to select partners and media at this year’s E3. From the sound of it, this gameplay footage won’t be available to the public, however Crytek claimed that it will reveal more details about its title at E3. Crytek’s HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age has been renamed to Hunt: Showdown, gets new teaser trailer

Remember Crytek’s HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age? This title has been under development since 2014 and was supposed to be a third-person action game where up to four players band together to fend off an onslaught of bloodthirsty creatures and track down breathtaking bosses.
