Well, you gotta love fans. Crysis was one of the games that suffered from the closure of Gamespy and as you may have guessed, both Crytek and EA didn’t bother replacing the game’s MP servers. £45 CPU & £110 GPU Run Crysis 3 At High Settings On ‘Consoles’ Framerates

By now, most of you are aware of the underwhelming hardware of current-gen consoles. And while PC gaming hardware has surpassed beyond what consoles could ever dream (hardware-wise), DigitalFoundry decided to experiment with a new budget CPU in order to find out whether it would be able to deliver a ‘console’ experience. And to everyone’s surprise, a system with a £45 CPU coupled and a £110 GPU is able to pull almost constant 30fps at 1080p and with High settings. Hell, if you pack this budget CPU with a high-end GPU, you are looking at a performance greater than the one found on current-gen consoles, something that – in our opinion – says a lot. Report: Homefront: The Revolution Game Director Resigns

Things are definitely not looking good for both Crytek and the new Homefront title. Last month, we informed you about the difficulties the German studio is currently facing and today, Kotaku reported that the game’s director has resigned. So yes, Crytek is going downhill as we speak unless the company somehow finds a way to: a) deny all the latest rumors with facts instead of PR statements and b) miracle happens. While the company has rolled out a new version of its CRYENGINE SDK, there are reports that its UK studio has stopped working on Homefront: The Revolution as its employees have not been paid yet. Homefront: The Revolution – E3 2014 Gameplay Footage Unveiled

YouTube’s member ’18T220′ has shared a new video, showing off real-time fluid simulation effects in CRYENGINE. This video shows realistic refractions, fully dynamic collision with objects, rising water levels, realistic friction, dynamic water ripples and screen space deformation.
