CryEngine 3 has a lot of potential. Yes, we’ve said that a lot of times but each and every time we see a Crysis 2 modded screenshot, we feel ecstatic. MaLDo has recently released some new screenshots from his upcoming Texture Pack. This Pack is almost complete and as usual, we’ll inform you about it the moment it gets out. Today we bring you new screenshots from the works of modders walid-payne, ZeroNight, iSqueezee, ReVan1199, EliteGhost, Vanity Assassian, Tiesto, maximus22, and CrydaVinci. The highlight of this week though is the first image, a scene that was created by Thiago Klafke who is an environment artist in Blizzard. It’s great to see artists from other studios experimenting with CryEngine 3 and we hope that their companies will actually use it in a future game. In addition, we should note the two videos that are featured in this week gallery. CrydaVinci created an amazing CG scene that is powered by CryEngine 3, while maximus22 was inspired by Red Dead Redemption and created a ‘Wild Wild West’ level. Enjoy! Following its Q1 2013 Fiscal Reports, EA has also announced some nice figures for two of its highly anticipated games. According to the company, Q4, pre-sells on its sci-fi horror franchise Dead Space 3 are tracking almost five-times higher than Dead Space 2 in the same timeframe in 2010. The company believes the new co-op gameplay feature is attracting a lot of attention and a broader audience. Crysis fans, here is something special for you today. Modder Slayer_2 has released his new mod, called Escape: Paradise, for Crysis. Escape: Paradise is the first in a series of Crysis mods that focuses on utilizing the full potential of the Cryengine 2 for the purpose of creating a large, open, exploration/survival based game. As promised, Electronic Arts has released the interactive single player campaign trailer for Crysis 3. In Crysis 3, players will take control of Prophet, and decide the best strategy to take care of their objective. Whether they decide to silently stalk soldiers through the swamp with Stealth, or transform into an immovable object that cannot be stopped by conventional firepower with Armor — Crysis 3 allows players to become the Hunter. Crytek revealed that the Interactive Single Player Campaign Trailer for Crysis 3 will be out this Thursday. In order to celebrate it, the company has also released two new wallpapers with scenes from this upcoming trailer. These wallpapers are similar to last week’s Crysis 3 screenshots that were released by Crytek’s lighting artist, Pierre-Yves Donzallaz. Crytek’s Lighting Artist, Pierre-Yves Donzallaz, has revealed four new screenshots for Crysis 3. These new images showcase gorgeous lighting effects and we can safely say that Crysis 3 will feature better textures than Crysis 2. We should also note that Crysis 3 PC will get some extra love from Crytek and will support DX11 from the get-go. The game is currently slated for a Spring 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy!
