Cyberpunk 2077 is the next big project coming from CD Projekt RED and while the company has not revealed anything new yet about this RPG, Reddit’s member ‘TheLastWitcher‘ shared the following images, giving us a glimpse at the game’s User Interface assets. And from the looks of it, the game will feature a dialogue system similar to Mass Effect. These images were found inside The Witcher 3’s files, meaning that the final UI assets may differ. Polish gaming website Legal/Law Journal site (thanks Kodaemon and Perscitus for the heads up), Gazeta Prawna, has revealed some interesting information about the development cost of The Witcher 2, as well as the development for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. During CDPR’s conference, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski said that The Witcher 2 cost $10,36 million to CD Projekt RED.
We’ve all been wondering what next-gen consoles will bring to the table, and according to CD Projekt RED, these new consoles will be more powerful than we initially thought. According to CD Projekt RED’s MD and studio head Adam Badowski next-gen consoles will most probably unify requirements, meaning that all versions will look really close to each other. Badowski confirmed that PC allows for more at the moment, however new platforms are stepping up and will – most probably – unify requirements for future games.
Pixel Shavers, a team from Poland, has recreated CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 CG trailer in Minecraft. According to the video’s description, the skins and textures that have been used were made by EviEviice, the map was created by Voerity and the trailer was put together by MineImator. It looks kind of cool, though the difference between this pixel-fest and the original CG trailer is huge. Nevertheless, those interested can give this video a go! YouTube’s channel ‘Machinima’ has released a video in which the creator of the pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020, Mike Pondsmith, talks about the Cyberpunk world and what Cyberpunk 2077 will offer to gamers. Expect to hear more about both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 as these two titles may change everything we know about PC games. CD Projekt RED’s CEO was interviewed by TVN CNBC and revealed that the trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 represents the level of in-game graphics that they’re aiming for. Now this could obviously mean two things: a) the visual style of the game will be similar to the trailer and b) that the overall quality of the graphics will be pretty close to the CG.
