Dark Souls fans, we have some good and some bad news for you. The good news first – the PC manual for Dark Souls: Prepare To Edition has been unveiled and you can read it online here. The bad news is that – according to the manual – you will be able to navigate the menu with only the directional keys. The game will support – in-game – mouse but as the manual states, Dark Souls was created to play using the X360 controller. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is available for pre-order on Steam

Good news for all Dark Souls fans as the game is now available for pre-purchase on Steam, priced at 39.99 euros. Be advised though – the fact that is available on Steam does not mean that it will not use Microsoft’s GFWL. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will include an untold chapter in the world of Lordran where the player must stop the spread of darkness at all costs by facing and defeating the Dark Knight Artorias. Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition – Minimum System Requirements Revealed

Namco Bandai and FromSoftware have revealed the minimum system requirements for the PC version of Dark Souls. Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will require a dual-core CPU, 4GB of disk space and an Nvidia 8800GT or an ATI Radeon 4850. Seems reasonable, right? Dark Souls PC – 1080p support, 30fps lock option, major fps issues even with Nvidia GTX 6xx cards

Get ready for some bad news Dark Souls fans. Yes, the game is coming to the PC and that’s what most of us have been asking all this time. And although some of you misunderstood From Software’s statement about the ‘720p resolution’ restriction, we are happy to report that the game supports resolutions up to 1080p. As we said back when that information got out, From Software was obviously talking about the game’s assets resolution and nothing more. Confirmed – Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will use Games For Windows LIVE

Earlier today, we informed you about Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition’s latest trailer. However, we are here now to bring you some bad news. A lot of PC gamers had high hopes when Namco announced that the PC version of Dark Souls would hit Steam. Don’t get your hopes up though as it will not support Steamworks. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition – Artorias of the Abyss DLC Trailer

Namco has released a trailer for the new content that will be featured in the ‘Prepare to Die Edition’ of Dark Souls. This new content is entitled as ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ and will be released on consoles as a DLC. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss will be available this winter in Europe and Australasia on consoles, whereas Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available this August on the PC. A while back, we wrote an editorial about the features that should be included in the PC version of Dark Souls. Namco responds to PC gamers demand for removing GFWL from Dark Souls PC, petition approaches 20K signatures

A while ago, we informed you about the features of Dark Souls PC. As you may remember, Namco has revealed back then that the PC version would be using GFWL. Naturally, a lot of PC gamers got annoyed by it and decided to express their opinion on Namco’s forums. Not only that, but another petition got started with the hope to further push Namco in abandoning their plans of integrating Microsoft’s GFWL service in their upcoming title. Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition – PC Trailer, game will use GFWL

Born as a forlon hope from fans, the request to ignite the First Flame on the brand new land of PC has grown stronger and stronger. Infused with the support from countless souls from around the world, the request has turn real. Dark Souls is coming to PC, and it is coming loaded with a lot of new content. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available on the PC platform in Europe and Australasia on August 24th 2012. At an event in Las Vegas, Namco showcases the game’s PC packshot but there was something that might discourage some PC gamers. The game will use GFWL. We know, it sucks but at this point, we don’t think that Namco will change or abandon their plans. Naturally, there is a petition but, well… don’t count in that. Enjoy the trailer! Dark Souls – These are the features that should be supported in the PC version

With the upcoming release of Dark Souls PC, we thought it would be appropriate to share our thoughts on the ideal and proper PC version of Dark Souls. Obviously, most PC gamers would love to see better textures and better graphics but let’s be realistic; that ain’t gonna happen. Therefore, we’ll be realistic on our demands and we’ll present you what features the PC version of Dark Souls should support. PC gamers demanded this game to get released on their beloved platform and it would be wise for Namco (and the company porting it) to support them.
