DayZ To Be Powered By Infusion Engine, Dean Hall Spills The Beans

Dean Hall has officially revealed that DayZ will be powered by a new engine called Infusion. Infusion is being developed internally in the company and will replace the current Arma 3 engine that is being used for it. This engine change does not mean that Bohemia will code everything from scratch, so there is nothing to worry about (or at least that’s what Hall claims). Infusion Engine featured a better architecture than the previous engine, thus giving the development team a very robust platform to build on top of. Dean Hall will – eventually – leave Bohemia and step down as leader of DayZ

Eurogamer has just revealed that Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall will leave Bohemia Interactive and step down as leader of DayZ. DayZ Standalone Sells One Million Copies In Four Weeks, Exceeds Expectations

Well, it seems that PC gaming is dead… NOT. Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall has revealed that the standalone version of DayZ has sold over one million copies in four weeks. This number exceeded Hall’s expectations, so it will be interesting to see whether Bohemia will speed up the game’s development or not. DayZ Standalone – 10 Minutes Of New Gameplay Footage

Dean Hall has released a new video for the standalone version of DayZ, featuring ten minutes of raw, unedited, gameplay footage. As Hall noted, there are noticeable bugs in this video as the game has not entered yet its alpha stage. DayZ Standalone is a game being developed by Bohemia Interactive along with Dean Hall, who are currently focused on getting the game’s alpha version out.
