Almost two months ago, we informed you about a map that was inspired by Visceral Games’ horror title, Dead Space 3, and was being created in CRYENGINE. Since then, modder ‘Daniel Harris’ has been further tweaking this map and released yesterday a video flythrough from – what looks to be – the final version of the map. Enjoy! Dead Space 3 was a game that did not wow PC gamers with its visuals. Sure thing, the game looked nice – especially with SweetFX – but the Visceral Engine felt dated and let’s not forget that the game lacked dynamic shadows. Polycount’s member ‘3DanArt’ decided to create some maps in CRYENGINE that were inspired by Visceral’s title, giving as a glimpse of what Dead Space 3 would look like in CRYENGINE. Enjoy! Last week, a live action video game trailer for Dead Space 3 got released that passed under our radar. We know, we know, shame on us. But anyway, ythis live action trailer was produced by Matt Laumann and directed by Eric Zaragoza, and you can watch it below. It looks bloody amazing, and the costumes are as close to their digital counterparts as possible. Enjoy! Continue reading Dead Space: Chase to Death – Live Action Video Game Trailer→
Before starting, let us apologize for not offering you this Performance Analysis sooner. Unfortunately, EA seemed hesitant on sending a PC review copy, and that’s why we had to delay it. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Visceral Games’ Executive Producer lied about offering the same gaming experience to all platforms or because EA feared that we’d bring the hammer down on it. Either way, EA should not be so ashamed of it. Why you ask? But because Dead Space 3 is a fine PC port. Yes, there isn’t any FOV option and the game suffers low-resolution textures but overall, this is as good as most multi-platform games, has proper on-screen keyboard indications, has amazing mouse support, and is not taxing – while looking great – at all. In order to remind us that Dead Space 3 is coming in a couple of days, Electronic Arts has released a new story trailer for Visceral Games’ action horror title. As the title suggests, this trailer focuses on the story part of DS3. Dead Space 3 is planned for a February 8th release on PC, PS3 and X360. The PC version will be a straight port from the console versions, without further enhancements or DX11 features. Continue reading Dead Space 3 Gets A New Story Trailer→
You know what? It’s really ironic when you see an executive producer contradicting himself in a matter of days. Last week, we informed you about Dead Space 3 and that it would be a simple port. In order to – somehow – calm PC gamers down, the game’s executive producer, Steve Papoutsis, told Shacknews that Visceral Games wants to offer the same experience on all platforms, and that’s precisely why they did not overhaul the PC version. Now the reason we didn’t inform you about this was simple; it was just a bunch of lies, therefore we decided to wait for the right moment to strike. And that moment comes right a few days later (thanks to GameTrailers), when Visceral Games reveals that the X360 will support specific Kinect commands. Continue reading Dead Space 3’s Executive Producer Blatantly Lying About Offering The Same Experience On All Platforms→

Dead Space 3 is planned for a February 8th release on the PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Continue reading Dead Space 3 – Launch Trailer Released→
I’m pretty sure you all saw that coming. games.on.net revealed that Dead Space 3 PC will be a simple console port and nothing more. No DX11 support, no higher-resolution textures, no graphical enhancements, no specific PC tweaks or features. In fact, PC gamers should be thankful that this game will hit their platform as Visceral Games is obviously not focused on it. Ironically, the same thing can be said about High Moon Studios and its Transformers franchise, though Activision was smart enough and let another studio develop a wonderful PC port.
