Square Enix has announced that Sleeping Dogs will be getting an interesting new DLC, with which Wei Shen will be able to become a silent assassin, augmented warrior or king of chaos. This new DLC, called Square Enix Character Pack, features characters/suits/armors from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Hitman: Absolution and Just Cause 2, and will be available to download worldwide tomorrow (November 14th) from Xbox LIVE (160MSP), PlayStation Network ($1.99 / €1.49 / £1.19) and Steam ($1.99 /€1.49 / £1.19). An interesting video popped up on YouTube, featuring Stephen Shellen who was the voice behind David Sarif in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. According to the video, Shellen believes the Illuminati are coming for him, and his time is limited before he dies for real. Apparently, the Illuminati are spying on him at present, and he is due to die on July 30th 2012. We’ve seen countless of clever viral marketing tricks and this seems like one. Could Square Enix and EIDOS be gearing up for a new Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC or a new Deus Ex game? After all, GamesCom is in a few days, meaning that this could very well be a hint for an upcoming announcement. Or is this simply Stephen trolling the gaming community? Great news for Deus Ex fans, as Square Enix and CBS films have plans for a movie adaptation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Although we don’t have enough information about it, we do know that CBS Films has secured film rights to the cyberpunk franchise and that EIDOS will be be working closely with CBS to bring the series to the big screen. Well lookie here, we got us a new PC update for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. And no, we are not kidding. Nixxes and EIDOS Montreal have just released a new patch for the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution that reduces the stuttering in the game, improves parallelism with the graphics driver on multi-core machines, improves SSAO, and resolves various issues with Nvidia’s 3D Vision. Square Enix revealed today its FY12 Financial Results and according to the report, Square Enix’s Digital Entertainment division was boosted by some incredible sales figures for both Deus Ex and Final Fantasy XIII-2. As of September last year, Deus Ex had sold more than 2.18 million copies across all territories after releasing in August. We are pretty sure though that the number is way higher, as the company has not updated the total figure since then.
